It’s that time of month again where several bloggers get together to write about our favorite recycled crafts and activities. So far, we have written about cardboard, styrofoam , cardboard tubes, and egg cartons. I have been saving up for this month’s recycled material… lids.

Baby Play with Recycled Plastic Lids
We keep pretty busy around here and are always looking for fun and exciting ways to keep Super B (almost 1) busy and learning. One of our absolute favorite things to do is to play with recycled plastic lids. We love the lids from Simply Orange, Tropicana and Dole orange juice lids because they are large in size.
I thought it would be fun to share a few of our favorite activities to do with Super B and our recycled lids.
Game 1: Hide and Seek
Cover each spot on a muffin tin with 1 lid. Sometimes we do this with just the lids and sometimes we add little treasures underneath. If you still have a baby that puts things under their mouth, I would not suggest using anything smaller than the opening of a toilet paper tube.
Peek a Boo!
Game 2: Fill and Dump
Another favorite is filling a container with several lids and encouraging Super B to hand the lids to me. Sometimes we fill another container and sometimes she just dumps them out.
She loves to Shake, Shake, Shake!
Game 3: Stack and Crash
One of my favorite games is to stack the lids. I think they are so pretty and are almost like a sculpture. You know what never fails, Super B comes over and crashes my tower. Always, without fail!
She thinks it is so funny!
And you know what?
I think she is pretty funny, too!

Great ideas!
I love how B looks so into these activities – that look of baby concentration! And the last pic – had to giggle. She’s a silly one!
Awesome! I love letting the kids play with things like this, and boxes, they LOVE boxes when they are little. I always threaten to wrap up empty boxes at Christmas time… I know they would be a hit!
I love how you hid small treasures underneath the lids! And those large lids are great! I will have to save some for my kids to play with 🙂
Pinning to use in a few months. Thank you for the ideas!
