Welcome to another Saturday Science Hop. I am also extremely excited because I am a guest over at The Educator’s Spin On It for their Gardening with Kids series. I am sharing 10 Tips for Starting a Preschool Garden. Writing this post was so much fun for me, that I have been having my own little gardening party here, as well.

Gardening with Kids Printables and Checklists
When I was in the classroom, I loved making printables. I hope you enjoy this journal page that can be printed and used with any age child. It is one page of the Planning Packet that you can get if you Subscribe to the Newsletter.
Gardening with Kids Activities and Lessons
Once you have that garden set up, you will need some activities to do with your little scientist. For me, I really like to take the children’s lead and follow their interest. I find it helpful to have ideas in mind that would fit with any possible topic they might come up with.
Science is all about learning through your senses. So what better way to learn about the garden, than to use some of the simple sensory ideas I have included in my post on Sensory Benefits of Gardening with Kids. If you are creating a garden with your little ones, they are probably going to find some worms. In my Worm Guide I provide you with ideas from books to snacks. There are enough ideas to keep you busy all spring and summer long.
Here are some of my favorite planning guides for science:
