My boys love Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Who doesn’t love them, right? Even I have a special place in my heart for the green guys! With Easter fast approaching, we had an idea to turn our little green eggs from last year into total awesomeness. The best part… it only took 2 minutes!
I kid you not when I tell you that these were super fast to make. From start to finish, all the eggs took 10 minutes to make including set up and clean up . Each egg only took 2 minutes. You can’t beat that!
What You Need to Make Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Easter Eggs
Green Plastic Eggs
Washi Tape (Blue, Orange, Purple and Red)
Glue Dots
Googly Eyes
How to Make Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Easter Eggs
Step One | With your egg lying on the table in front of you, tear off a piece of tape that can fit all way around the egg. We liked using two hands so that we could stretch the tape nice and tight around the egg. Wrap your tape around the egg, covering the seam or opening. Note: If you plan on putting anything inside the egg, you want to do that before you tape it closed!
Step Two | Adding Eyes. We used glue dots to make this a super simple project even the kids could do. We placed the googly eyes on the glue dots one at a time and placed them on the tape we had just used.
That’s it! See! I told you it was fast!
Now you can make as many as you feel like making. Make them for your whole family, make them for your friends at school, or even just make a big set to keep and play by yourself! {I might be too old to play with Easter Eggs, but I sure had fun with these!}
I just love how they turned out! The tape was a tad tricky but it turned out looking just like the image I saw in my head. Which is always a plus! I hope you like them just as much!
Can you believe how simple these are? Would you believe me if I told you we ended up with an entire dozen and our toddler is the one that loves them the most.
Adaptation for Learning and Sensory Fun
For just an added bonus, you can turn your Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Easter Eggs into musical shakers. Its super easy! Just add in some rice, cereal, beans or lentils before you tape up your guys. Super B loved matching the colors and figuring out which one had sounds!
