I want you to STOP.
Stop thinking.
Stop trying to fix.
Stop trying to solve.
Stop trying to plan.
Stop trying to come up with the perfect answer.
Stop.
Instead... replace it with NOTHING.
In stead... just breathe.

When I was a parent deep in survival mode,
my ability to do anything other than
play defense against meltdowns was non-existent.

Heres the truth:
The front of your brain (the prefrontal cortex)
is the part of the brain that is responsible
for your executive functions to operate properly.
When we are stressed, it disrupts the connection,
making it near impossible to be organized,
remember information, and work productively.

If you’re raising a challenging child, you are,
by definition, stressed.
In order to reduce your stress,
You have to give yourself permission to come first.
