These Eric Carle Activities for Toddlers are brought to you by Gymboree.
As many of you know, it is Toddler Mania around here. In fact, just today I told Papa Bear that we have a real live toddler on our hands and she is nothing short of a busy little bee. That means we need to stay on our toes with energetic and engaging activities to keep her entertained. With the addition of Super B’s newest outifit from Gymboree (a Lemon Lime Adventures sponsor), it seemed like the perfect time to try out some simple Eric Carle activities for toddlers.
The partnership between Gymboree and the World of Eric Carle brings two iconic, parent-trusted brands together and builds on Gymboree’s rich heritage in colorful, quality clothing that parents love and children never want to stop wearing.
In honor of Gymboree’s new line (that we are absolutely in love with, by the way), I have gathered some of our favorite Eric Carle books, given you a simple (no prep) activity you can try with your toddler, and listed more resources to try, making this a one stop shop for Eric Carle Activities for Toddlers.
I hope you enjoy our Eric Carle Collection as much as we have! Let’s get started with the fun!
Simple Eric Carle Activities for Toddlers
A Book, An Idea, and Resources
Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me | Gross Motor
Read Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me and join your toddler in a dance party! Super B loves showing off her new spins!
Want more toddler fun, try painting a moon with the great activity.
Brown Bear, Brown Bear | Speech and Language Skills
After reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear, make a point to ask your toddler “What Do You See?” as you explore day to day.
I absolutely love this collection of Montessori-Inspired Brown Bear, Brown Bear Activities
Very Hungry Caterpillar | Visual Skills
Read The Very Hungry Caterpillar and play “Look and Find”. Using pictures of butterflies, help your toddler look and find real life butterflies.
If you want more caterpillar fun, check out this Very Hungry Caterpillar Activities and Guide.
Head to Toe | Body Awareness
Read Head to Toe and play the “Where’s Your …?” game with your toddler! Super B loves showing us her belly button and her nose… “Nah Nah Nah”
I love these from Head to Toe ~ Printable Activity Cards to add to the fun!
Little Cloud | Outdoor Play Time
Read Little Cloud and head outside to play! We chose to go out and look at clouds, play with bubbles (We love the Gymboree Bubbles) and take a walk around the block.
More Outdoor Activities to Use with Little Cloud
Rooster’s Off to See the World | Discovery
Read Rooster’s Off to See the World and go on a field trip or a nature walk. We went to our local butterfly museum and discovered so many new things.
For more rooster fun, you can make these really cool sensory bottles!
I will admit that I might have gone a tad crazy with “cute toddler pictures” in this post, but I just couldn’t help it! Super B was in love with her new outfit and made it so easy to capture the essence of “toddlerhood”. She is always learning, always curious and always creative… a perfect fit for Eric Carle. If you are still looking for a tad more Eric Carle fun, you should check out the other awesome activities below.
