It is no secret that coffee is one of my favorite things in this world. First thing in the morning, I have to have my cup of coffee (or two). In the afternoon, I love a nice pick me up. If we go for ice cream, I get coffee ice cream. And then there is dessert. I LOVE coffee flavored desserts. You get the point… I love coffee. After recently receiving the Keurig 2.0, I thought it would be really fun to find the best of the best coffee desserts that can be made with Keurig coffee.
I know you can’t wait for me to get to these coffee desserts, right? Don’t worry, I will. First, I just want to tell you a little more about why I am choosing to share coffee desserts to make with Keurig coffee.
I have always been a one pot kinda gal. However, I didn’t love it. I am the only person in the house that drinks coffee, which means I have to figure out the perfect amount to brew without being wasteful. It also means that I will make a pot of coffee in the morning and reheat my coffee several times throughout the day to get a refill. There had to be a better solution.
My mom has had a Keurig since they first hit the scenes and I always enjoyed getting to try new flavors with every cup of coffee when I would visit her house. Maybe the first cup would be Kona, the next cup Hazelnut and just for fun the next day might be hot cocoa. I could mix it up and it didn’t matter. However, there was one thing I really disliked. I hated that when we would go for family events, we would have to form a line at the Keurig as we each waited our turn for a cup of coffee. There had to be a better solution.
Now, take the recipes I am about to share. Most of the recipes call for 1 cup, 1 tablespoon, 1 small amount of coffee. Too much to brew a whole pot. I mean, I can always make a whole pot and enjoy the extra for me, but chances are the rest of the pot will get cold and be wasted, which I really dislike. There had to be a better solution.
Enter Keurig 2.0.
I am pretty much in love with the ability to have that same awesome variety I would have at my mom’s house but now I have the flexibility of when, how much and what flavor to brew. With the Keurig 2.0, I can make 6 oz, 8oz, 10 oz or even an entire pot. I can have it strong or regular. I can have tea, coffee, or hot cocoa. I am in love. No more cold coffee. Well, I still have mommy brain, so I leave my cup everywhere during the day, which is a story for another day.
As for those desserts… well, now I can make exactly how much I need and I don’t have to waste any coffee. And let me tell you, there are some coffee desserts that have my mouth watering just typing about them. I can’t wait to try some of these out.
