After this past weekend, I have decided that I am as much (if not more) in love with sensory bottles than my children. I love how they can be used as calming tools, science materials, and sensory input. However, these latest simple spring nature sensory bottles are also gorgeous to look at! I could stare at them all day. I am trying to no steal them for my office.

These sensory bottles are both gorgeous and simple. Spring has just sprung around here after a very long winter. We have been incredibly pleased to see the colors starting to emerge and can’t help but wanting to observe the new flowers closer.

How to Make Spring Nature Sensory Bottles
Making these bottles really is super simple. It takes a little bit of finesse with handling the flowers and getting them through the opening of the jars, but otherwise they are rather straight forward.
We made three bottles this time, but plan to make more to observe the flowers up close. We used hyacinth, a few fern leaves, and another awesome purple flower (I asked my neighbor but now I can’t remember the name of it). I know, I know… not very scientific of me.
As I mentioned before, there isn’t a lot to these sensory bottles but they are super simple and loads of fun after they are made.
This post is part of the Discovery Bottles Blog Hop, where you can find lots of discovery bottles that can also be used for science and discovery with your child. This month each sensory bottle is nature themed.
