I can not, for the life of me, believe that I am posting about gifts! It doesn’t seem possible yet, however its all I can think about. If you know me, you know I try to live a simple life, void of tons of “things”. So when it comes to gifts, I try really hard to give that are homemade, sustainable or foster creativity. If you are a member of my family, at one point or another you have gotten a gift that I made with my own hands, or a kit I put together for you to make your own adventure. That is why I wanted to share some of the most unique kits for kids I found that foster creativity.

Now, as I gathered up my favorite kits around the web, I couldn’t help but picture books that would pair perfectly with the them. Some of the books are great for parents or caregivers, others are just right for the little hands to explore. Either way, the combination of the two would make any kid happy on any occasion.

Oh I LOVE these ideas!!! And such a better “gift” to give than toys toys toys all the time (though of course, we still need toys). Thanks SO much for the book mention!
Thank you so much! The books seems like the perfect fit!
For Christmas I made a couple of playdough kits. They didn’t have any “playdough toys” (rollers, cookie cutters etc.), but had a variety of other things for creative play (gems, rocks, dinosaurs, cars, pom poms, googly eyes, fake flowers/leaves, scissors, pipe cleaners, candles etc.)
