Managing the mad rush the night before and morning of the first day can make this time go by smoother, and allow you some breathing room so you can take in all the special moments and capture those sweet pictures!
Back To School Checklist
1 Week Before
*Establish and start implementing bedtime routine
*Get a haircut
*Establish a place in your home for backpacks to go when they get home
*Create a “homework station“, a nice quiet place for your child to do homework
*Go grocery shopping and get all favorite lunch and snack foods, baggies, juice or milk
*Lay out clothes
*Have all supplies in backpack
*Backpack by the door
*Have lunch packed and in refrigerator
*Set the alarm clocks
*Charge the camera
*Read some fun “back to school” books at bedtime
*Eat a healthy breakfast
*Enjoy the morning! Take lots of pictures!
Just remember, that no matter what, everything will go smoothly if you’re prepared. The most important thing to remember is to stop and soak in the moments before you send your babies back to school, read some good back to school books to help prepare your little one, and soak in the moments on the first day of school. These days pass by so quickly, and we want to remember them as best we can. The only way to enjoy the time is to be well-prepared so you’re not running around like a chicken with your head cut off.
Print this checklist out, hang in on the fridge, and just take it one task at a time. Happy Back To School!
