In our home we have a rule: the kids have to make their own breakfast and lunch during the week. The weekend is the time for cooking together or special treats, but the weekdays are left to growing confident and independent children. Smoothies make a great quick and independent breakfast idea for kids! We have taught our kids how to use the blender and make some yummy treats. To top them off, the love to add a sprinkle of their favorite granola. Here are a few of our favorites.
We love to mix coconut and banana for a fresh start to our morning.
However the go to smoothie in our house is almost always a frozen fruit and yogurt mix.

Parfaits are a go to breakfast idea in our home. We have done them several ways. My kids love making parfait buffets.
Another favorite parfait treat in our home is to make rainbow parfaits with protein granola.
My boys are in love with blueberry parfaits and make them at least once a week.
