Fall is one of my absolute favorite seasons. The leaves start to change, I get to buy brand new pencils, and pumpkin-cinnamon-flavored-everything becomes available! Unfortunately, my kids don’t always share my love of fall because so many changes at once can get really overwhelming. Heading back to school in itself is a really tough transition that can lead to meltdowns and school refusal. That’s why we all look forward to Halloween. It marks the end to the chaotic back to school season, the start of a “new normal”, and who doesn’t love zombies, mummies, pumpkins, and ghosts!?
