I don’t know about your kids, but my toddler is in love with those little videos of surprise eggs. If you haven’t seen them yet, they are a YouTube sensation, where tiny toys are hidden in playdough eggs. So this year, for her Easter basket, I thought it would be absolutely perfect to make her a Doc Mcstuffins Playdough Kit and Easter Basket with her very own surprise eggs.
We are big fans of playdough kits around here if you haven’t noticed already. I have been itching to make some new playdough kits for my toddler, so this was the perfect timing. I love how this simple Easter basket can turn into something that will encourage her creativity, sensory integration, and fun for a long time (especially while I homeschool the big kids).

How to Make Doc McStuffins Surprise Eggs for Your Easter Basket
Making your playdough kit and Easter basket with Disney Junior goodies is super easy, not to mention fun! We decided to lay all of our fun mini figures out with the eggs to see what we had. We experimented a little with making our own surprise eggs and finally came up with a strategy we loved.
When making your surprise eggs, simply pinch a tiny bit of playdough off and place one mini figure in the dough. Wrap the mini figure completely with playdough and squeeze it into the eggs. For the larger mini figures, we used the Easter eggs instead of the Disney Junior character eggs.
Once we had all our eggs filled, we used the left over eggs to fill with our playdough so our toddler would have plenty of playdough to use later.
She absolutely loved how her favorite Disney Junior characters were hidden in the playdough and eggs. She felt so special.

Once you have all your eggs made, simply fill your Easter basket with any other Disney Junior that you think your child will love. We got ours at Walmart in the seasonal section, where they had so many awesome choices. We had to actually slow down, we wanted so many cute things to add to our kit.
Her brother was so excited about the Lambie squooshy doll he found. He knew his sister would be so excited!
Now for the moment of truth… Letting the toddler explore the playdough kit and Easter basket…
She loved every bit of it. I am a little embarrassed to admit just how much she sounded like her favorite videos. “Oh, what we got here?” “Look, mommy, you got see this”.
I am pretty sure she has never loved an Easter basket this much. She plays with it all the time and loves everything about it.
She even loves remaking her own surprise eggs and hiding her favorite characters.
She discovered that she could even use her activity kit as a stamp pad with her playdough and has been making hearts ever since. This is definitely a playdough kit and Easter basket she will be talking about for a long time.
Walmart currently has an entire collection of Disney Junior Easter goodies in their seasonal section. You can choose from Doc McStuffins, Minnie, Mickey or even Sophia the First. We might even have to head back and get the Minnie goodies for another fun playdough kit. Which character would your kids love the most?
